Finally! I'm outta here. I have around 48 hours left on American soil...I really gotta stop watching so many movies because that was a line right out of a B flick. I'm excited and I'm nervous. I never realized how much stuff I don't own. I like it that way but it's also kind of sad, no wonder I can pick up and move at the drop of a hat. Anyways, I'm going to start working at the English Village starting on Monday and I have no idea what to expect.
I have been staying with Danielle for the past week because I gave notice a little bit too early on the place I'd been renting for the past year. I feel stuck in a void of waiting and now I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I am not going to know a single soul. I've done this before but never in a place where they don't speak English. I downloaded a bunch of Korean Language CD's to my ipod so by the time I step off that 12.5 hour flight I should be able to say "hello" and "where's the bathroom please".
I'm living on a giant campus full of Korean students and foreign teachers (that's me). I just want to be there already. I'm not good at waiting when it comes to this kind of stuff. I'm ready to start this new part of my life. I'll miss all my friends but it will only make me appreciate them more. I'm really going to miss Danielle. I talk to her every day and now I won't be able to. She's my best friend. I guess it will only be around a month until I see her again and we are not one of those couples that need to be around each other 24/7 but a month is a long time. I'm sure it will be good for me though.
We were in a car accident this past Saturday and my back is jacked up. I can't wait to get onto a long ass flight with a hurt back. That will be so much fun. At least plane seats are the most comfortable seats there are?!? It's all good. Just makes for a better story to tell my future kids. Speaking of, congrats to one of my best and longest friends Dayna on the baby that's growing in her belly. It's a boy! I'm sure she will name him Chris.
What am I going to do for the next 48 hours? Nothing too exciting I'm afriad. Since I'm OCD I'm sure I will check my bags again, maybe buy a few more books to read and that's about it. I have to go eat Sushi before I leave. I love Yoko's sushi and I need to get my fix. I know that might sound odd because I'm going to Korea where I'm sure they have some good ass Sushi but I'm addicted to Yoko's Sushi.
As soon as I get situated in my new home in a far off land I will write more regularly I'm sure. Until then wish me luck and I hope the coming year is grand for all of us.
